As an year round guide service located just 40 minutes North of Seattle Dickson Fly fishing has specialized in fly fishing steelhead, salmon and trout since the mid eighties, Mike and Johnathan have helped both novice and experienced anglers bring NW fish to the fly. We fish traditional methods with spey, switch and single handed rods. Most of the local fish is a easy commute from Seattle ranging from 1/2 hour to 2 hours max.
The Dickson's believe in personal hands on approach. Floating the river but wading each pool. Mike and Johnathan both use large rafts or drift boats with casting platforms as transportation. Fishing is generally done by wading each pool and mostly swing fishing although some fish can be done from the boat.
From Alaska, the Caribbean, Grande Ronde River in Eastern Washington, to local trips. The Dickson calendar year takes Mike and Johnathan to prime steelhead, salmon and trout fishing twelve months of the year. Their motto"We only want to be there when the fishing is the best".
