We will float in single pontoon rafts and arrive back to our takeout by 5pm, and school is over. We will review sinktip fishing in the early morning, and go right in to surface fly presentations until the day’s end.

ask), licenses, water, and enthusiasm!

Itinerary:
These are just some suggestions.......If you don’t have it, just bring what
you have. If you do need an flyrod outfit.....please let me know.
Fishing: I like to carry two rods.....an 8 wt. for sinktips and a 5 wt. for the
floating line presentations.

Don’t get too hung up over flies et al. Just bring what you have.
I will make available the trick flies and lines you can purchase on Mike’s
website. www.streamsideflyshop.com Again, if you have some gear, bring it......but don’t go out and buy a bunch of stuff, just to take the class.....
We will have the our Yancey Multi-tip and Floating Line Head System to try in each class.......Just let me know, if you think you may be looking to
upgrade your flyrod system. Mike and I can bring lines and flies with us.

Things to Bring: Flies & Lines: www.streamsideflyshop.com

Chest waders: Also rented at Hook Line & Sinker in Smokey Point 360 435 5052

A 12’ > 3x tapered leader is good for floating line
Sinktip leaders: Provided
Nippers and file.

Gink or line floatant

Sunblock........yada yada

Rain coat, camera..................

Both the sinktip and a floating line set up is good, as the morning will be sinktiping, and
afternoon will be floating line presentations. Two reel spools and one rod, works fine.

I will have pontoon rafts for everyone but if someone wants to bring theirs, fine,.......but
let me know. Please bring a water, and a life jacket.

If you can borrow the big car as opposed to the little car, it will help, in the shuttle.

Remember, this a clinic, not a guide trip. If you are here to get better, you will.

Looking forward to it,

D
