Guided Fly Fishing Trips on the Skagit & Sauk Rivers =======================================================================
The fabled waters of the Pacific Northwest, the Skagit River and its primary tributary, the Sauk River are home of the late winter native steelhead. The most sought after spring fishery our entire region. Come with us as you wade and flyfish for a steelhead that legends are made of.........Skagit & Sauk Rivers, Catch & Release.......it just doesnt get better than this.
As
you pull into the Howard Miller Steelhead Park, the first thing you notice
is the Skagit River. A large but gently flowing stream, its emerald green
waters seem to meld into the lush foliage along this wild scenic river.
The snow capped mountains are much bigger than the hills back home. Perhaps you manage to land your fish, perhaps not. Either way, you will never be quite the same. I know. Over the past 20 years I have guided literally hundreds of anglers into thousands of steelhead. The rush never goes away. I
believe in wild fish. I believe they should all be released alive. I enjoy
being with people who can appreciate uncrowded streams, beautiful pools,
and the challenge of the fly. For me, I would simply rather flyfish steelhead.
The Sauk River. Spoken in reverent tone around the fly fishing community, the Sauk is a brawly mountain stream which flows northerly from the Glacier Peak Mountains. The steelhead are characteristic of such a stream. Large strong fish, more exemplified of north British Columbia waters. Challenging pools and aggressive native steelhead keep anglers coming back year after year. Sauk river steelhead, the epitome of the Pacific northwest steelhead flyfishing.
